Hi everyone, this is the cleaned up sketch of my deep sea mermaid design now ready for me to shade and colour. 😊
Deep Sea Mermaid rough sketch.
Apologies, my patrons, I am a little late in posting up this.
Under the sea, under the deep, deep sea, life as we know it is quite different from life in the sunlight zone. This is a preview of my rough sketch for the first of a potential series of pictures I’m looking at doing. 🙂
Immortal
When the darkness falls and all that’s left is but our bare bones,
Held fast by bittersweet memories.
Our bodies exhausted of all they can give,
Depleted, battered and fallen.
We look to the skies where once our dreams and prospects were within reach,
But now flies further from our grasp.
Mind and soul sinking deeper into the despair of it all.
What is there now for me?
The forgotten remnants of the past and yet my will hangs on! – “Immortal”
I hope you enjoy my accompanying poem and completed painting, Immortal. This is the first full imagine I have done using both Derwent Inktense pencils and Faber Castell polychromos colour pencils on Strathmore Bristol paper, with highlights using Uni Posca white pen and Caran D’Ache Luminance white pencil. 🙂
Inktense work on my Vampire skull image.
Hope you are all doing well. Progress on my vampire skull painting so far, now with a good covering with using my Derwent Inktense water soluble colour pencils and Derwent waterbrushes. Next I want to try picking out areas and putting in more detail by using some Faber Castell polychromos colour pencils. Hope you enjoy seeing how it’s turning out. 🙂
How I Paint a Rose (in Photoshop) Tutorial
Hi everyone, I have just posted up my first real-time tutorial on how I paint a digital rose onto my YouTube channel. I am planning to do some more tutorials hopefully in both traditional and digital style, including more exclusive Patreon videos in the future. I hope you like it! 🙂 x
Hedgehog in Spring
My first fully coloured in pencils art piece. I used Derwent sketch pencil for the initial drawing and coloured up with a combo of Prismacolour premier, Faber Castell polychromos colouring pencils and the white CaranD’Ache Luminance pencil. I may adjust some of the lighting, balance some of the tones and shadows when I scan it into Photoshop. However, I think it is not bad for my first full play with colouring pencils. Hope that you all like it! 😊
Frost Dragon Speed Paint (part 3) – Angel Statue
My third speed paint video is now live on my YouTube channel. If you haven’t already, please go like, subscribe and don’t forget to hit that notification bell. I paint up some of the angel statue in this one. In part 4, I shall work on the robin and the flowers exclusively for Patreon. 🙂
